Abstract

Five growth characters and three yield characters of a sib-mated progeny of S 274 selection of Coffea conephora (robusta coffee) were studied presently in relation to the parental characters. Number of pirmary branches, number of secondaries per primary, mean leaf area and mean number of berries per node segregated above the uper parent value in the sibmated progeny, indicating their polygenic control and the probability of selection for such characters in the progeny. Significant positive correlation of most of the agronomic characters has also been observed.
