The experiments were conducted in the years 1999 to 2001. The average yield of crops was increased by 5.23 and 6.10% respectively over the yield obtained with the traditional implements. In farmers fields fodder sorghum yield under improved practices was recorded as 15.17 t/ha this was 6.14% higher over the traditional practices. The bigger size of clods were formed by MB plough + disc harrow (120 to 132 mm) and small size clods by rotavator (16 to 18 mm). Complete adoption of farm machinery in crop production was observed in respect to tillage management as inter cropping (65%) that followed by sowing and transplanting (62%), digging of pits and transportation of produce (60%), organic matter application (58%), filling of pits (55%), whereas spacing/number of plants/ha (65%), fertilizer application (52%), irrigation and its methods (48%).
