Abstract

Among twelve insecticide treatments evaluated by drenching and swabbing methods on pomegranate for the management of shothole borer, Xyleborus perforans (wall) and a fungus, Verticillum sp. drenching with chlorpyriphos + carbendazim and monocrotophos + carbendazirn during Ambebahar, and drenching with chlorpyriphos + carbendazirn, imidachlorprid + carbendazim and monocrotophos + carbendazirn during mrigbahar season emerged as best treatments by recording higher reduction in per cent shotholes. The individual fruit weight and yield were also noted to be significant in these treatments.
