Abstract

The study was conducted to find out the relative susceptibility among five guava varieties viz., Kazipiara, Shorupkati, Polypiara, IPSA and one local variety and population distribution at different plant canopies of the guava plants. The introduced guava variety Kazipiara was found to be statistically more susceptible to whitefly infestation than the other varieties. The spatial distribution indicated that the nymphs and adults of whitefly were significantly higher in the upper canopy than in middle and lower canopy. The lowest population was found in the lower canopy of the guava plant.
