Abstract

Fifty four turmeric cultivars collected from different parts of country were evaluated at RARS, Jagtial, A.P., India. The data collected on different characters were subjected to work out path analysis to investigate the direct and indirect contribution of various characters on cured yield. The results of path coefficient analysis revealed that selection for more weight of the mother, finger rhizome and curing percentage would be more effective as they have positive direct effect as well as significant positive association with cured yield.
