Abstract

Investigation carried out to identify the banana based cropping systems on the basis of their physical and economic performance at the agricultural Research Station, Kathalagere has revealed that Soyabean and Redgram could be raised successfully in the interspaces of banana garden without affecting the main crop. Soyabean and Redgram were proved to be ideal intercrops in banana garden providing net income of Rs. 8,148.20 and Rs. 6,160.95 at 50 per cent NPK levels.
