Soybean rust incited by Phakopsora pachyrhizi Syd is one of the most serious disease inflicting accountable quantitative as well as qualitative losses. A total of 239 genotypes of soybean were evaluated under natural epiphytotics (in vivo) Result showed that all the genotypes screened exhibited varied degree of reactions against P. pachyrhizi. Of the 239 soybean genotypes, only one (EC-438252) was found immune, 21 as resistant, 89 as moderately resistant, 93 as susceptible and 35 as highly susceptible to rust.
