Abstract

The aim of present study is analyzing effective factors in application of agricultural water consumption at Sistan in Iran using multivariable regression model. For this purpose at first social and economic properties of desirable methods of agricultural water consumption will be considered as well as their application, and then Tobit model is used to study effective factors on applying desirable methods of water consumption. Results show that in this area, traditional methods of agricultural water consumption such as irrigation at night and tabulation of farm are more common than advanced methods such as using impacted irrigation system, cannon transforming water and accretion of farms. Additionally, age of farmer and insufficient water have positive effect on applying desirable methods of water consumption whereas lateral occupation and education level have negative effect.
