A field experiment was conducted at Pundibari, Cooch Behar in West Bengal during 2007–08 to study the effect of integrated nitrogen management on growth, yield and economics of ramie (Boehmeria nivea L) in Terai agro-climatic zone of West Bengal. The experiment was laid out in randomized block design with nine treatments. Cultivar R-1411 was used in the trial. Based on pooled data, it was observed that all the growth and yield attributes were found to be highest under T5, which ultimately helped in producing highest fibre yield (2.14t/ha) corresponding to T5, due to higher N, P and K uptake, followed by T6 and T4. T5 also recorded highest benefit: Cost ratio of 1.69 followed by T6 (1.53) and T4 (1.42).
