Optimization is one of the techniques used in manufacturing sectors to obtain optimal cutting sequence for the best manufacturing conditions, which is an essential need for industries for improving the quality products at lower cost. This study investigates multi objective optimization of turning process for an optimal parametric combination to yield the maximize the material removal rate and minimize the surface roughness using Grey relation analysis. Experiments performed based on mixed L16 orthogonal array, data have been analyzed using Taguchi, Analysis of variance and Grey relation analysis. The confirmation experiments were also carried out to validate the optimal results. The obtained results show that the Taguchi Grey relational Analysis is being effective technique to optimize the multi objective quality parameters for selected process parameters in CNC TC.
