Soil-pile interaction plays an essential role in the behavior of the structure under static or dynamic loading. It influences the behavior of soil, as well as the response of a pile under loading. This study reviewed the needs of finite element analysis for vertically loaded pilesusing different material models. Nowadays, researchers intend to provide immediate and suitable solutions through numerical analysis for various field problems, and those scenarios can be used for the same kind of field problem.Numerical modeling software simulations reduce time and costs, increases efficiency and reliability when compared to standard field load tests. It allows performing numerous analyses for various soil conditions and piling types, but selecting an appropriate constitutive model has a significant influence on the accuracy of the solutions. For the numerical simulation of deep foundations using finite element analysis, the modulus obtained from laboratory experiments needs to be modified.
