Abstract

Cloud computing is the group of services for software network and hardware, which are provided to users. Cloud storage provides users with the facility to store, access and manipulate data according to user's convenience regardless of time and location along with providing the pool of resources such as network, storage and services on the basis of demand. Cloud computing is highly demanded among users because of its features such as high computing power, less cost of services, high performance, scalability, reliability, accessibility and availability. Security is still posed as a critical challenge in the cloud computing paradigm. As cloud computing demand increases, securing the cloud becomes more difficult from different threats and attacks. Particular attack can primarily focus on different layers of cloud architecture and attack on one layer makes upper layers unstable and prone to easy attacks. In this survey paper, we will study different threats or attack on cloud data and cloud layer to prevent data theft, data leakage, breach and data modification by applying user authentication, user access rights and admin authentication, and access rights from internal threat point of view to eliminate from insider and outsider attack on data in cloud environment.
