Abstract

In electronic applications the most important factors are security, integrity, privacy and non-repudiation, confidentiality, and authentication services. This paper deals with the privacy of data transmitted over the network. I propose a new approach for data security using the concepts of genetic algorithms to encrypt and decrypt data streams. Such approaches comprise higher security. An example for this modern cryptography is reported in which several characters are encrypted and decrypted. The results show that the proposed technique achieved low snooping rates as compared to other simple character level encryption and decryption techniques.
