Any service industry majorly focuses on providing better services to its customers by developing better products and improving processes. IT and ITES services are no exception. Quality is the key for delivering values to the customer. Among several dimensions of software quality, e.g., functionality, usability, performance and maintainability, the most important aspect is related with the number of latent defects when the software product is delivered to the customers. These high, unanticipated defects and associated higher rework also puts the early estimates at risk, which is an important parameter for profitability of the project.
