A stand alone software application, namely ‘Digital photo library reference system for medicinal and aromatic plants’ was developed to maintain photographs of most common and important species of medicinal and aromatic plants. Photographs of plant species were collected from its wild habitat and maintained in the database. The software application was developed with users’ friendly menu using Java as a front-end and oracle as a back-end. The application provides access to the photo album of species, data management and search facility.
