Abstract

With the advent of cloud computing and storage having no limits, the users of cloud computing are no longer bothered about downloading or uploading their data, whereas at the backend, providers had to do a lot to save their storage for efficient utilisation of resources. Deduplication is one such way to save the storage. In this paper, we worked on IIT Delhi cloud ‘Baadal’ virtual machine to analyse the duplicate files in Google Drive and remove duplicate files to save the storage in cloud. The results clearly show user behaviour to have same files in drive occupying unnecessary space.
