Abstract

North of Iran oil concession and Azerbaijan issue is a significant adventure and a deep crises in the contemporary history of Iran. Iran's occupation during the World War II and the long-lasting competition of England and Soviet Union states on one hand and the rise of the American strong power on the other hand and competition on the postwar condition to supply its long-term profits, turned the Azerbaijan Democratic Party politically inept in the international balance. The result was that neither the Soviet Union could achieve its goals, nor a pleasant fate was waiting for the actors of Azerbaijan government. But the Cold War had started.
