Abstract

The concept of work-life balance is increasingly becoming important in India as more and more women with children are joining the workforce, and the families are increasingly becoming nuclear and dual-earner. As an outcome, more and more working professionals feel the need to balance their work and their personal life. Under present market forces and strict competition, the companies are forced to be competitive. The companies must seek ways to become more efficient, productive, flexible and innovative, under constant pressure to improve results. Keeping in view the sector which has huge potential for growth, the study was conducted on the employees of the insurance sector, which is now being treated to be synonymous to stress and high pressure environment.
