Communal Trauma: A Comparative Study of Khushwant Singh's Train to Pakistan ind Manohar Malgonkar's A Bend in The Ganges

There are several literary writers who depict the pain of society during the communal trauma of Partition in their literary works-Khushwant Singh, Manohar Malgonkar, Bapsi Sidhwa, Bhimas Sahni, Salman Rushdie, Manju Kapoor, Taslima Nasreen, and so many others. The present research paper is focused on the comparative analysis of Train to Pakistan by Khushwant Singh and A Bend in the Ganges by Manohar Malgonkar. An attempt is made to understand how both the selected texts depict the partition trauma, violence, abduction rape and murder of people, kidnapping of women and children, migration and immigration, and furthermore.
