Abstract

Nègargari is one of the Persian visual arts that consist of very delicate and fine decorative patterns. In the last years of the seventh century, that Sassanideras ended and start of Islamic eras, with a slight delay and with the benefit of Persian old traditions painting methods, this art style is developed by Iranian Artists. Slowly Nègargari became as Persian arts in book illustration plus manuscripts. At first most technical and scientific books were illustrated and a shortly after were used in literature and history subjects. Interesting point of this type of illustration is inscription at image surface that express the painting subject, for instances poems on the subject of painting. Visual balance in these inscriptions is unavoidable.
