This study analyzes the hermeneutical language on the performance and emotive acts of the Seven Last Words as uttered by Jesus Christ as recorded by the apostle John primarily, Matthew, Mark and Luke with the objectives: (1) to interpret the primary meanings, the original or intended meanings of the seven last words of Jesus Christ; (2) to determine the primary meanings revealed by the authors, Matthew, Mark Luke and John; and (3) to determine the secondary meanings of the seven last words to today's readers; The researchers used hermeneutics—backed up by semantic theory, Austin's theory on performative and emotive language and contextualization. The findings are: The Seven Last Words of Jesus Christ meant originally: (a) The first last words reveal that Christ is the Son of God.(b) The second that Christ was going back to Heaven. c) The third that Mary has the responsibility of looking after John and vice versa. (d) The fourth that Christ was momentarily left when He carried the sin of men. (e) The sixth that His strength was all gone. (f) The seventh that He finished his mission. The secondary meanings of the Seven Last Words today are: (a) Christ is the mediator between God and men. (b) Christ has resurrected from the grav (c) Christ honors His faithful people. (d) Sin separated man from God. (e)Christ calls for men and women. (f) Christ will finish the task of saving mankind. (g) When man dies, he gives back His spirit unto God.
