B-school faculty demography and workplace commitment

Motivation and organisational commitment are critical to an organisation's performance and growth. Faculty employed in B-schools face challenges each day and to remain involved and committed is tested. Emotional well-being and adequate incentives are required to enhance their morale and self-confidence. Many factors influence motivation and commitment but what most administrators neglect is the role played by demography. Hence it is prudent to not only assess the impact of motivation and commitment determinants but also the effect of socio-demographics. A survey was administered to 474 facultyserving in university-affiliated B-schools in Bengaluru.
