The Indian sugar industry is an important agro-based industry that impacts the rural livelihood of about 50 million sugarcane farmer and 5 lakh workers directly employed in sugar mills. India is the second largest producer, exporter and largest consumer of sugar. In this paper, a modest attempt has been made to study the growth of Global Per Capita Consumption of Sugar, Cane price comparison of major countries and Sugar export performance of India. Globally Brazil, India, China, Australia and Thailand are the major producer. In consumption pattern Brazil is the highest per capita consumption of sugar and its average is 58.38 kilograms and it is registered CAGR of-0.04% followed by Australia its average is 45.96 kilogram and registered a CAGR of 0.01%, India is the least per capita consumption of sugar its average is 18.18 kilogram and registered a CAGR of 0.04%. The Major destination for Indian sugar Exports is Myanmar, Somalia, Sudan, Sri Lanka, and UAE. The Sugar Exports and Sugar Consumption is positively correlated (r=.301) and it is statistically not significant (.562>0.05).The Sugar production and Sugar Consumption is positively correlated (r=.664) and it is statistically not significant (0.15>0.05).
