The phytochemical studies provide a systematic analysis of characterising the natural products. Medical plants constitute an effective source of traditional and novel medicines. Modern physical methods very much assist in accomplishing in these efforts. Moreover, the natural products are considered to be the providers of efficient drugs which may not be having any side effects. The present work aims at phytochemical and pharmacological studies of Cupressus goveniana var abramsiana. The leaves of Cupressus have been found to contain Apigenin and rhamnose. The isolated compounds have been characterized by chromatographic and hydrolytic study as well as by UV spectral means. The membrane interaction of human red blood cells with isolated Cupressus Flavonoids by an in vitro method has been studied.
