Abstract

In this Paper, data encryption/decryption for Bluetooth security using virilog HDL is presented. SAFER+ algorithm is a very good choice for wireless systems due to the reason that it is a combination of security and high speed implementation. It is a basic component in the authentication of Bluetooth mechanism. The whole design was captured entirely in VHDL using a bottom-up design. The proposed VLSI implementation of the SAFER+ algorithm reduces the covered area about 25 percent, and achievesa data throughput up to 320 Mbps at a clock frequency of 20 MHz
