Undoped and doped ZnS (with Al and Ni) nanoparticles have been successfully synthesized by chemical route at room temperature. The structural properties of the nanoparticles were determined by XRD, TEM and their Optical properties by UV-Visible and PL (photoluminescence) analysis. Surface morphology was studied with the help of Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM). Average particle size of ZnS, ZnS-Al and ZnS-Ni nanoparticles were obtained from XRD was 3.8 nm. At room temperature peak of PL spectra of ZnS is found at 439 nm, for ZnS-Al peaks are observed at 437 nm and at 568 nm, for ZnS-Ni peaks are found at 439 nm and 562 nm respectively. In case of doped ZnS blue shift are observed. XRF studies reveal presence of Zn, S, and Al & Ni in the samples.
