Abstract

This paper envisages on gravitational effects in the propagation of surface waves in a non homogeneous rotating fibre-reinforced anisotropic elastic media having voids. The totality of surface wave speed is generated in studying the effects of gravitation in line with rotation and voids on surface waves in non homogenousfibre-reinforced elastic solid and in particular cases, for Stoneley and Rayleigh waves are also investigated. The results obtained in this investigation are more general in such that some earlier published results are obtained from our result as special cases. Moreover, neglecting the non-homogeneity and the reinforced elastic parameters, the results yields well known isotropic medium.
