Generally, parasites are regaarded as harmful entity for the hosts but thhey use to perform an important ecological role, eespecially in the transfer of genetic mateerial between species. Occasionally, the parasites also significantly suffice in the facilitation of fevolutionary changes. The present editorial discussees on the various types of parasites present iin the fishes with their effect on the host system.
