Effect of different hormonal combinations on invitro propagation of Rosemarinus offcinalis was investigated using shoot tips and nodal segments as explants. Surface sterilization of shoot tips and nodal explants was carried out by using HgCl2 (0.1%) for one minute and one and half minute respectively. All the cultures were maintained at 22±2°C and 16 hour photoperiod. Green, friable callus formation in both nodal and shoot tip explants of Rosemarinus officinalis on MS media supplemented with BAP (200μM) and IAA(100μM), NAA (150μM) and IAA (100μM) respectively was observed in the present study. Maximum shoot multiplication from shoot tips and nodal segments was achieved on MS medium augmented with BAP (100μM) + IAA (100μM) and BAP (20μM) respectively.
