Abstract

A rapid, simple, two step protocols was established for the medicinal plant Aloe vera through enhanced axillary branching.MS medium containing 1.5 mg l-1, BAP and 50 mg l-1 AS (Adenine sulphate) gave the highest multiplication. Ninety percent microshoots produced rooted plantlets with in 12 days of culture on MS medium fortified with 1.0 mg l-1 of NAA. The plants were successfully acclimatized to shade house condition and transferred in the soil.
