Work life balance has always been a concern of those interested in quality of working life and its relation to the quality of life. Work life balance consists of two different roles to be performed in organization and at family. Problems commonly encountered in the role performance often give rise to stress, depending on the role occupant and the environment. This paper explains the relationship between work life balance and organizational role stress. It brings out that each role stressor is the result of specific problems faced by the occupant and the identification of prominent role stressors and its implications for the individuals in relation to work life balance. The paper demonstrates how the relations between role stress and work life balance can be used to promote human well-being, while achieving enhanced individual performance and effectiveness. The result shows that there exist significant relationships among all the role stressors with work life balance. And there is no significant difference between the men and women in experiencing work life balance. This shows that organizational stress has a greater impact on work life balance which is indifferent for men and women.
