Abstract

Imagine a eCitizen who can log onto internet web site 24 X 7 days a week, 365 days a year to easily find the government services, and use that site to conduct online transaction. He can fill out the internet form for all their local, state and federal environmental regulatory compliance requirements and government officials make all purchases & payments electrically. The technology for all these applications is nothing but the “e-governance”. With the advent of ICT, PCMC has taken major initiatives towards the use of IT in all of its processes and started e- governance services as eSuvidha - Suite of eServices - giving better services to citizen by identifying, harnessing and employing state-of-the-art systems in city administration.

The research is focus on the implementation of eSuvidha which is powerful tool for delivering services at citizen's doorstep and helps to reduce the work load and increase efficiency of employees.
