Abstract

The measure, Average Network Throughput (ANT) takes into consideration the network topology, link reliabilities, the capacity of the links in the network, and the total installed capacity. So, in this paper we proposed an approach that uses fuzzy optimization based on genetic algorithms to maximize ANT and minimize the total cost of link capacities. I.e. find the optimal set of capacities that maximize the Average Network Throughput and minimize the total cost.
