Abstract

In this paper, an attempt is made to determine the unknown temperature, displacement and stress functions on plane surfaces, where as arbitrary heat is applied on the upper surface and lower surface of the cylinder. The governing heat conduction has been solved by using finite Hankel transform technique. The circular edges are thermally insulated. The results are obtained in series form in term of Bessel's functions. The results for displacements and stresses have been computed numerically and illustrated graphically.
