Abstract

Cysts of the oral and maxillofacial tissues are frequently encountered entities but in deciduous dentition they are rare. The aim of this case report is to present the clinical, radiographic and histological characteristics of a cyst associated with a deciduous molar and discuss the difficulty to establish the correct diagnosis of these lesions of mixed dentition that create a dilemma in diagnosis which arises from whether these cysts are either radicular cysts from primary molars or dentigerous cysts from premolars.
