Preventive Prosthodontics emphasises the importance of procedures that can delay or eliminate future prosthodontic problems. An overdenture is one such logical method that offers several advantages both from biological as well as functional stand point in preventive prosthodontics. The patient's satisfaction with improved functional efficiency was observed when treated with access post retained mandibular overdenture.
