Synthetic materials have long been used for treating perforations, apexification cases and other surgical procedures. Lately, platelet rich plasma & platelet rich fibrin have been used for these reasons with success and patient response. This article explains the preparation of these organic agents, their potential advantages and disadvantages and applications in dentistry.
