The objective of this study is to evaluate the oral lesions in subjects residing in Achrol, district Jaipur, Rajasthan in January 2015.
A camp based observational and treatment study was conducted in 270 subjects residing in Achrol, district Jaipur, Rajasthan. The study population was divided into four groups i.e. 10–24 years, 25–39 years, 40–54 years and 55 years and above.
The result of present study shows prevalence of pre-leukoplakia was 3.33%, leukoplakia 1.48%, smoker's palate 4.07%, OSMF 2.22%, chewer's mucosa 2.96% and lichenoid reaction 0.37%.
The observations and findings of the study clearly indicate that consumption of tobacco and betel nut is higher than urban area and prevalence of oral lesions was higher in subjects of rural area.
