When Things Go ‘Wrong’

Abstract

Wrong Side Surgeries (WSS) to be the third-highest-ranking event1. The term wrong-site surgery typically encompasses surgery on the wrong person, the wrong organ or limb, or the wrong vertebral level. WSS can be a devastating experience for the patient and have a negative impact on the surgical team. A dentist can be held responsible for negligence if “Wrong tooth” allegations are held against him. This paper focuses on certain preventive protocols to be followed to avoid such mishaps.
