Enamel and dentin are the bread and butter for any dentist. We should respect these biologic tissues. Enamel once gone is gone and will never come back. The dentin is different when it's newly formed and it changes with age. It's different in coronal aspect and radicular aspect. We should learn the histological aspect of these tissues and the clinical significance to improve the treatment results. This article highlights the various clinical aspects of enamel and dentin.
