People have been telling stories as not only a form of entertainment, but also as a way to make sense of the world for a very long time. It is one of the knowledge transfer techniques used to transfer the implicit and explicit knowledge to others. Story is a natural language description of chain of events, interaction among the characters, beliefs, personal histories and description about the places or objects etc, People from any age group are having interest, pleasure and excitement while reading the story. Reading the story is easy rather than creating the new one. Construction of story requires creativity for conceiving the themes and needs the good language skills for presenting the theme in an interesting way. In the artificial intelligence era, automatic construction of story is one of the important problems, because it has to focuses on areas of theme conception, language representation and semanticness of the story. The earlier story generation models concentrated on syntactic level of story generation rather than semantics. Syntactically constructed story may lose their interestingness due to lack of semanticness. Ontology supports the reasoning in story generation system to provide the semantics. Ontology is a formal explicit shared conceptualization which is used to provide the domain knowledge for the story generation. This paper focuses on evolution of story generation models and describes about the new story generation system which gives the picture of how to reason the story sentences to check the semanticness of the constructed story using ontology.
