The Integrated Management of Childhood Illness Training to pre-service level during medical internship is the first fundamental stage to improve the knowledge of medical Practices.
To assess the effectiveness of IMNCI training programme during the medical internship.
An interventional study.
12 months i.e. 01st July 2012 till 30th June 2013
65 medical interns
A pre-designed, pre-tested, self-administered questionnaire was used on the first day of IMNCI training and last day same question was administered again. Z- Test used.
An improvement of knowledge of medical interns was found in post-test assessment.
The knowledge of medical intern's can be improved on childhood illness after the training of IMNCI. Such training is important to reduce morbidity and mortality among children.
