Abstract

IMNCI is an integrated approach to decrease morbidity and mortality amongst children between 0–5 years due to common illness. A success of this approach depends on knowledge of doctors, interns and health workers.

To assess the effectiveness of IMNCI training programme, in improving the knowledge of interns.

An interventional study.

12 months i.e. 01st July 2012 till 30th June 2013

65 medical interns

A questionnaire was administered to the participants on the first day of IMNCI training and last day at the end of IMNCI training.

The knowledge of medical intern's was improved on childless after the training of IMNCI.

A satisfactory improvement was found in the difference between pre and post-test knowledge of the medical interns.
