Abstract

To synthesize the evidences for adjuvant probiotics along with Triple therapy in patients with H.pylori infection.

To validate the evidence for this phenomenon, five studies were selected: four randomized controlled trials and one meta-analysis. These were reviewed by two independent observers and meta synthesis was done. Evans's hierarchy of evidence rates RCTs as good and meta-analyses as excellent forms of evidence. RCTs in adult and in children found that probiotics improves eradication rates in H. Pylori-positive patients.

In light of the evidence, the investigator formulated a protocol based on the Stetler model, which can be implemented in the treatment of patients with H. Pylori infection. If successful, the new treatment regimen could reduce the cost of treatment and side effects caused by H. Pylori infection worldwide.
