Stem cells help in curing various developmental abnormalities and generation of new tissues. Dental tissues are a source of mesenchymal stem cells. Stem cells can be isolated from both primary and permanent teeth. The cells colleceted from primary teetha are more useful as they are younger. Immortalizing stem cells may be useful to avoid senescence of stem cells and increase their potential to proliferate without modifying their natural characteristics. This article higlights the process of colection and prreservtion of stem cells.
