Gastritis is a common G.I problem. It is everyone's right to lead a quality life in all dimensions by controlling the physical symptoms and mental ailments like stress, depression etc, which will help the individual for better adaptability to life. Availability of social support is also very much essential.
A descriptive study was done among conveniently selected 50 patients with gastritis. The setting of the study was the inpatient and outpatient division of medicine department of Hi-Tech Medical College & Hospital, Bhubaneswar, Odisha. The research design was descriptive in nature. Convenient sampling technique was used. Data was analyzed by using descriptive and inferential statistics. Result shows that 12 (24%) had poor adaptability, 30 (60%) had average adaptability, 08 (16%) had good adaptability. Again, it shows that there is association between demographic variable with adaptability. Also there is association between the different domains of quality of life of patients with adaptability.
