Abstract

Microorganisms of the root canal and periapical infection are diverse. These organisms might reach the site of infection either through caries, trauma or anachoresis from other parts of the body through blood. Elimination of these organisms is the primary goal of endodontic infection for the success of the treatment. Few of the organisms are resistant to treatment procedures. This article highlights the various microbes found in the root canal in different instances.
