Namaz (Islamic Prayers) Can Have Positive Health Effects on Human: A Descriptive Approach

Abstract

Namaz is a science as well as an art of healthy living physically, mentally, morally & spiritually. It is not limited by age & sex can be practiced by those who want to have a more meaningful life. Namaz is a ‘science` which provides a logical step by step process for a new understanding of ourselves and of the universe around us. This review study aims to discuss about technique of Namaz and how namaz is benefited to the humans in many ways such as stress reduction, emotional wellness, improve flexibility & strength, enhancement of the immune system & improve balance & postural alignment. This study concludes Namaz is a science as well as an art of healthy living physically, mentally, morally & spiritually. The analysis has been made in light of the present day medical knowledge that how Namaz can have positive effects on health.
