Abstract

ICAR-National Institute of Veterinary Epidemiology and Disease Informatics (ICAR-NIVEDI) collects livestock disease data from throughout the country through its All India Coordinated Research Projects centers and Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services of all the states. The so collected disease data is entered into the National Animal Disease Referral Expert System (NADRES) software and used for analysis. The review focuses on most reported bacterial, viral and parasitic diseases barring FMD and poultry diseases in the country, their distribution and likely future trends of these diseases during April 2015-March 2016.
