Abstract

Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is one of the major public health crises not only in India but globally. The AMR issue has been magnifying and there has not been appreciable headway in containing it. The National Governments have been making all out efforts towards mitigating AMR and have also been working hard to devise means and ways to address the AMR issues. The Government of India has also been working hard to address AMR menace. Some of the initiatives of the Department of Animal Husbandry & Dairying (DAHD) under the Ministry of Fishery, Animal Husbandry, and Dairying, Government of India are being presented and discussed.
